Gardner recognizes the importance of coming home. A few years ago he and his wife, Betsy, realized their dream and came home to the Greater Hartford area after living in various locations in the Northeast.
Gardner’s career direction has always been service oriented, and he particularly enjoys the “one-on-one” aspect of residential real estate. His experience in buying and selling many homes of his own prepared him well for working with relocating families, as does his love of the Farmington Valley and the surrounding area.
“Home may be the most meaningful word in any language,” says Gardner, “and buying one is probably the most significant financial decision anyone can make. I love being a part of that process.”
A member of the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS®,as well as the State and National Associations, he specializes in the purchase and sale of single-family homes. His designations include: Certified Relocation Specialist, SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). In 2008 he received NAR's e-PRO designation for Internet marketing, and was certified as an EcoBroker, one of only a handful of real estate professionals in the state trained in “green” real estate issues. Following that NAR recognized his accomplishments by adding their GREEN designation to his resume.
Gardner is also a Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute. The GRI designation awarded to him has been earned by less than 1 in 5 real estate professionals. He has been recognized for his sales promotion and marketing ability by winning multiple first place awards in the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® statewide marketing competition.
Recently he was again awarded the President’s award for sales excellence. “As nice as that is,” Gardner said, “it doesn’t compare with the dozens of notes I have received from satisfied clients over the years.”
Prior to entering the Real Estate field, it was Gardner’s long career in the Insurance industry that enriched his relocation experience, and provided his strong customer oriented background.
His primary service areas include Canton, Avon, Simsbury, and the surrounding towns to the west into Litchfield County, and in particular, his home town of Farmington.
